Not A Walk in the Park but A Walk in the Wilderness

This is a synopsis of what Lent is all about. About a re-focus. A time to change our focus from all that is in our lives, all of our individual projects, all that is tragic around us, all that is not going well, all that we wish was different and bring our attention to the good news of the gospel. In other words, we are like the sponge, we have soaked up so much that it is time to wring ourselves out of all the stuff that is in us so that this Lenten season God can deal with us, meet us at our point of need and help us while we are like Jesus, in the wilderness.
